The Government of Japan through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) donated relief assistance amounting to more than P22 million or 45 million Japanese yen to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) for the victims of typhoon ‘Pablo’ in Davao and CARAGA regions.

The relief goods are composed of 300 sets of tent (with a capacity of 6 persons per tent), 200 rolls of plastic sheets, 3,000 pieces of sleeping mattresses, and 3,000 pieces of polyester tank.

Disaster Relief Program of JICA provides emergency relief supplies and medical care in response to requests for assistance from affected countries or international agencies.  ###
