The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has developed communication strategies to promote the digitalization and streamlining of the agency’s regulatory services.

Through the recently held meeting and workshop, the Department crafted strategic plans to effectively communicate the benefits of the DSWD HELPS platform, or the Harmonized Electronic License and Permit System, to its target audience, the Social Welfare Development Agencies (SWDAs).

A tailored communication plan for each service within the DSWD HELPS platform was designed to gain support and participation from SWDAs while also aiding in extending the reach to prospective audiences.

Special Assistant to the Secretary (SAS) Ofelia Templo and her dedicated team facilitated the workshop and shared their expertise in designing comprehensive communication strategies for the new DSWD e-services which is set to be launched in July 2024.

Participants of the series of activities include representatives from the Social Welfare and Institutional Development Bureau (SWIDB), Program Management Bureau (PMB), Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), National Authority for Child Care (NACC), Regional Alternative Child Care Office (RACCO), Traditional Marketing Service (TMS), and the Standards Bureau (SB).

The DSWD HELPS is the Online Integrated DSWD Permit System that makes regulatory processes seamless, stress-free, and fast application for all its partner stakeholders.

It is a product of a year-long effort of the Department in the attainment of one of the seven priority programs and initiatives, the Paspas Serbisyo program, of the DSWD under the leadership of Secretary Rex Gatchalian. #
