Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan – Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI-CIDSS) Program Manager Bernadette Mapue-Joaquin takes pride in the accomplishments of the program in its 21-year of  implementation during the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Thursday Media Forum held at the Sequoia Hotel in Quezon City.
During the forum, which coincided with the celebration of the 21 years of KALAHI-CIDSS, Program Manager Bernadette Mapue-Joaquin was joined by Buguias, Benguet Vice Mayor Dione Baucas and community volunteers from Region 2 (Cagayan Valley), 7 (Western Visayas) and 10 (Northern Mindanao) as she reported to the media the program’s timeline, collective accomplishments and plans for the coming years.
The guest speakers, who are also nominees of KALAHI-CIDSS awarding ceremony for its exemplary communities and partners dubbed “Bayani Ka! Awards 2024,” also took the floor to share how the program’s projects empowered them to address local poverty in their respective communities and its ground-breaking impacts to their living conditions.
This Thursday’s Media Forum was hosted by Special Assistant to the Secretary (SAS) for Communications Raymond Robert Burgos and Traditional Media Service (TMS) Director Aldrine Fermin.
