The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), including all its regional offices, will be on standby during the observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day on November 1 and 2, respectively, to provide aid to families and individuals who may require immediate assistance from the agency.
“The Department will be on standby this Undas due to the increase in the number of our kababayans traveling to their respective provinces,” DSWD Assistant Secretary for Strategic Communications  Romel Lopez said.
“In the event that some of the travelers will get stranded along the way, the DSWD is ready to provide food assistance and other necessary interventions,” Asst. Sec. Lopez pointed out.
The DSWD maintains stockpiles and standby funds amounting to ₱2,406,805,636.30, which can readily be used to respond to emergency situations during the observance of Undas 2023. #
