The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC) convene the NAPC Technical Action Officers-Technical Working Group (TAO-TWG) for a meeting on Thursday (May 30) to discuss updates on anti-poverty programs, projects and activities of the government and basic sectors.

The DSWD was represented by Asst. Secretary Elaine Fallarcuna. The NAPC, which is one of the supervised agencies of the DSWD, was led by its Lead Convenor, Secretary Lope Santos III.

The NAPC TAO-TWG meetings serve as convergence platform where agreements on anti-poverty programs, project and activities of the government and basic sectors are discussed and forged either for adoption as
policies or elevated to the NAPC En Banc, where the President of the Philippines
sits as the chairperson.

The TWG is composed of 24 member-agencies, sectoral representatives of 14 basic sectors and four leagues of local government units.#
