Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Assistant Secretaries Irene Dumlao and Ada Colico share updates on the agency’s implementation of the Ayuda sa Kapos ang Kita Program (AKAP) and the Centers and Residential Care Facilities (CRCF) during the DSWD Thursday Media Forum on September 19 at the DSWD Central Office’s New Press Center in Quezon City.

Asst. Secretary Dumlao underscored the necessity of providing AKAP financial assistance to help cushion the effects of inflation to near-poor beneficiaries. She also shared updates on the status of the agency’s disaster response operations for the recent calamities.

Asst. Secretary Colico, for her part, discussed the different services offered by the agency’s 76 CRCFs nationwide.

This Thursday’s Media Forum was hosted by Special Assistant to the Secretary (SAS) for Communications Raymond Robert Burgos and Traditional Media Service (TMS) Director Aldrine Fermin. It was live streamed over the DSWD Facebook account. #
