Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Special Assistant to the Secretary (SAS) and Concurrent Director of the National Resource Logistics and Management Bureau ( NRLMB) Leo Quintilla coordinates with representatives of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) US Navy, US Marine, Philippine Air Force (PAF), and Office of Civil Defense (ICD) on Sunday (February 11) to ensure a smooth and efficient delivery of the family food packs (FFPs) to be carried by the US C-130 plane at the Villamor Airbase in Pasay City.

The FFPs to be flown by the US cargo plane will be brought to Davao Region for distribution to local government units (LGUs) affected by the trough of a low pressure area and shear line that hit Davao Region in late January.

DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian directed the continuous flow of relief aid to Mindanao in one of the agency’s largest disaster response efforts in keeping with the directive of President Ferdinand R Marcos to intensify the provision of assistance to Davao Region through the whole-of-government approach.
