The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) expressed its support to strengthen the implementation of various alternative child care services during the Alternative Child Care Conference on Friday (November 17) at the Westin Hotel in Mandaluyong City.

In her message, DSWD Undersecretary for International Affairs, Attached and Supervised Agencies (ASAs) Atty. Emmeline Aglipay-Villar underscored the importance of collaboration between the government and other stakeholders to efficiently and effectively ensure the provision of responsive social protection services for the best interest of children.

The Alternative Child Care Conference was organized by Consuelo Alger Foundation and co-sponsored by the DSWD and its attached agency, the National Authority for Child Care (NACC), which aims to bring together key stakeholders to discuss the pressing issues surrounding alternative child care in the Philippines.

Present in the activity were NACC Executive Director Undersecretary Janella Estrada, (CWC) Executive Director Undersecretary Angelo Tapales, and Juvenile Justice and Welfare Council (JJWC) Executive Director Atty. Tricia Clare Oco. #
