Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian, together with Program Management Bureau Director Edmond Monteverde, meets with representatives of Robinsons Retail Holdings, Inc. to discuss possible collaboration that could augment the agency’s various programs and initiatives at the DSWD Central Office on Tuesday (August 27).

The meeting explored how the group of companies could assist microbusinesses managed by the beneficiaries of the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), provide more job opportunities to the Persons with Disabilities sector, and expand the digital grant disbursement of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in partnership with Go Tyme bank.

Discussions on the Expanded Solo Parents Act were also made to clarify the corporation’s implementing rules on the 10% discount and VAT exemption in drugstore purchases of low-income solo parent households.
