The event is an opportune time for social workers around the world to highlight their work and invaluable contribution to society. This year’s theme is “Promoting Dignity and Worth of Peoples.”

DSWD Secretary Corazon Juliano-Soliman who is a social worker herself commends all her fellow social workers nationwide for their continued selflessness in serving the poor.

“I recognize all my fellow social workers both in the public and private sectors for being instrumental in empowering communities and transforming lives. As we celebrate this year’s World Social Work Day, let us strengthen our commitment to public service to further make a difference in the lives of our countrymen,” Sec. Soliman said.
