The Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Standards Bureau has been training it’s personnel on the proper management of the Harmonized Electronic License and Permit System (HELPS). Those who underwent the June and July trainings were familiarized on how to receive and process applications for the registration, licensing, accreditation (RLA) of social welfare and development agencies (SWDAs). The training was attended by 65 technical staff from various SB divisions, including the Standards and Development Division (SDD), Standards Compliance Monitoring Division (SCMD), Standards Enforcement and Advocacy Division (SEAD), and personnel from the Financial Management Service (FMS). HELPS is the DSWD’s online integrated permit system that aims to increase the number of licensed public and private SWDAs, the DSWD’s partners in providing social welfare services to the poor and vulnerable sectors.
