Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Undersecretary Monina Josefina Romualdez joins executives of other government agencies and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) at the launching of the 2024 State of World Population Report by the UN sexual and reproductive agency at the University of the Philippines (UP) on Wednesday (April 17).

In her message, Undersecretary Romualdez echoed DSWD’s support to the various efforts of the UNFPA in advancing sexual reproductive health and rights of women and girls around the globe, especially in the Philippines.

The UNFPA report titled “Interwoven Lives, Threads of Hope:  Ending inequalities in sexual reproductive health and rights” spotlights the importance of tailoring programs to the needs of communities — instead of large-scale, one size-fits-all approaches — and empowering women and girls to craft and implement innovative solutions. #
