In its continuing efforts to help families affected by the heavy rains and floods due to the effects of a shear line that hit Agusan del Sur recently, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office-Caraga, in partnership with the local government unit (LGU), conducted relief operations on Tuesday (February 6) in the province’s four towns.

The DSWD Field Office distributed some 7,307 family food packs (FFPs) in Rosario with 2,723 FFPs, Esperanza with 1,942, Sta. Josefa with 1,419, and San Luis with 1,222.

While the region is now experiencing good weather condition, DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian has ordered the Caraga Field Office to continue monitoring the situation through its Emergency Operation Center (EOC) to ensure prompt response.#
