The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the SM Foundation, Inc. signed yesterday the Memorandum of Agreement for the implementation of the Make-A-Child Happy, Share-A-Toy Project.

Signing the agreement are (L-R) SM-Central 1 Senior Assistant Vice-President for Operations Ma. Cecilia Abreau, SM Foundation Senior Assistant Vice-President Connie Angeles, DSWD Undersecretary Angelita Gregorio-Medel and DSWD-Protective Services Assistant Bureau Director Pacita Sarino. The signing was held at DSWD Central Office in Quezon City.

The project will undertake resource generation by soliciting new and second hand usable toys from SM mall shoppers. The toys will be given to children 12 years old and below, who are staying in DSWD residential centers and in DSWD-accredited facilities of non-government organizations and local government units.

Drop boxes are set up in SM malls nationwide for the donations.
