Social Welfare and Development Secretary Dinky Soliman said that the DSWD regional offices along the path of typhoon ‘Pablo’ have prepositioned standby funds and family packs ready to be distributed to local government units (LGUs) that will be affected by the typhoon.

As of 8:00 a.m. today, December 3, the DSWD has prepositioned P3.7 million standby funds and P38.64 million worth of relief supplies in DSWD Regions V, VI, VII, VIII, X, XI and CARAGA.

Secretary Soliman likewise said that the DSWD Disaster Response Teams in these regions will continue to operate 24/7 and coordinate with concerned LGUs to ensure immediate assistance in relief distribution, data generation, and management of evacuation centers.

“I already instructed our concerned regional directors to closely monitor the situation particularly the flashflood and landslide prone areas and to immediately dispatch relief assistance to affected families when needed,” Secretary Soliman said. ### 3 December 2012 (DSWD-Social Marketing Service)
