The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has provided a total of ₱7,386,645  worth of family food packs and non-food items to the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) for families affected by Habagat or the Southwest Monsoon in Maguindanao province.

As of 4 pm, August 13,  Habagat has affected 22,511 families or 112,555 persons in Maguindanao. There are no reported evacuees.

In Regions VI, X, and XII where heavy rains also continue to prevail, some 11,633 families or 57,145 persons have been affected.  Some 566 persons or 2,438 persons are still in three evacuation centers managed by LGUs of Negros Occidental, Bukidnon, and North Cotabato.

DSWD disaster teams in these affected areas continue to coordinate with the local government units for the continued provision of resource augmentation, when necessary. ###
