The Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) reiterated its call for household-beneficiaries with pregnant members and those with children aged 0 to 2 years old to update their profiles in time for the rollout of the First 1000 Days (F1KD) conditional cash grant in 2025.
“Isa sa direktiba ng ating Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., sa nakaraang SONA (State of the Nation Address) nya, yung pagkakaroon ng First 1000 Days cash grant sa ilalim ng Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program kaya naman puspusan yung ating pagpapalaganap ng impormasyon lalo na doon sa mga miyembro natin na buntis at mayroong mga anak na 2 years old pababa,” 4Ps Social Marketing Division Chief (DC) Marie Grace Ponce said during the 7th episode of the ‘4Ps Fastbreak’ on Wednesday (October 23).
The F1KD conditional cash grant is an additional financial support under 4Ps which was earlier proposed by DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian to President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. It aims to provide assistance to households during the critical first 1,000 days of child development.
“Ito pong F1KD, ineexpand po natin yung health grant sa ilalim ng Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program kasi yung health grant natin, tinitingnan din natin yung aspeto ng kalusugan ng mga bata,” the 4Ps official pointed out.
To update their information, SMD Chief Ponce encouraged 4Ps beneficiaries to coordinate with their city or municipal links in order to be able to fill up the Beneficiary Updating System (BUS) Form 5.
The 4Ps household-beneficiaries must also need to submit documentary requirements including the birth certificate or local civil registry of the child, and either the medical certificate or health certificate of the pregnant members issued by their respective Rural Health Unit (RHU) or
Barangay Health Station (BHS).
The 4Ps, which was launched in 2008 and institutionalized in 2019 through Republic Act No. 11310 or the 4Ps Act, provides cash grants to more than 4 million households whose children are given subsidies to finish elementary and senior high school and supported with health and nutrition grants.
The ‘4Ps Fastbreak’ is hosted by Information Officer Venus Balito of the Strategic Communications Group’s Digital Media Service (DMS) and is aired every Wednesday, 11 am, using the DSWD’s Facebook platform.#
