A senior official of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) invited volunteers to join in the production of family food packs (FFPs) at the National Resource Operations Center (NROC), the agency’s main disaster response hub located at Chapel Road in Barangay 195, Pasay City.

“Pwede kayong magproceed sa ating NROC, sa Chapel Road sa Pasay. Our staff will accommodate groups. What is important lang is before we deploy you in any activity in the warehouse, mayroon tayong orientation to ensure na alam natin yung dapat gawin, what are the do’s and don’ts in the warehouse,” Special Assistant to the Secretary (SAS) for Disaster Response and Management Group (DRMG) and Concurrent Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the National Resource and Logistics Management Bureau (NRLMB) Leo Quintilla said during the DSWD’s Thursday Media Forum on October 24.

Interested groups and individuals may coordinate with Ms. Shara Lee or Mr. Kevin Sanchez at 09954005548 or 09260612646, from 8AM to 5 PM.

Participants are also requested to wear comfortable attire and closed-toe shoes, and to bring their own bottled water and packed meals.

Before deployment, there will be a 30-minute orientation to ensure the safety of volunteers around the repacking center.

“Continuous po yung operation ng DSWD, and to those who will volunteer or do volunteer work sa ating mga repacking centers, open po tayo, just visit our National Resource Operations Center,” SAS Quintilla said. #
