“I am reaching out to the Canlaon City mayor, Negros Oriental governor and Cong Joselyn (Limkaichong) to assure then of our preparedness for disaster response and augmentation of relief items,” RD Lucero reported to the DSWD chief.
Amid the rising number of recorded seismic activities of Mt. Kanlaon, the DSWD has assured that in any eventuality, the agency is ready to assist the Canlaon City local government unit (LGU) in disaster response and relief operation.
FO-7 RD Lucero said her regional office is working closely with the LGU of Canlaon for the emergency response plan, with refresher sessions now being conducted with QRT members to be deployed to the area as needed.
