Over Php5 million worth of family food packs (FFPs) were swiftly distributed by the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Field Office (FO)-5 (Bicol Region) to 7,402 families from various municipalities in the province of Camarines Sur who were affected by Tropical Storm “Enteng” on Monday (September 2).

In collaboration with the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur, the DSWD’s FFPs were able to reach the typhoon-affected families in the towns of Milaor, Minalabac, Pili, San Fernando, and Camaligan.

In line with the DSWD’s mandate to promptly and effectively assist during disasters, its FO-5 continues to work closely with local government units (LGUs) across the Bicol region to monitor affected families and evaluate the need for additional support. # Photo credit to PLGU Camarines Sur
