Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian signs a formal agreement on Saturday (August 10) with a new set of 25 service providers to the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program during a ceremony held at the DSWD Central Office.

In his speech, Secretary Gatchalian expressed his gratitude to the service providers for helping the agency to provide a more efficient and convenient way to address the medical needs of clients in crisis, through their acceptance of DSWD-issued guarantee letters (GL).

Under the signed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), AICS clients who secured a GL will be accommodated by the partner service providers and given the necessary medical services, medicines, and procedures as stated in the letter.

Other DSWD officials who were present in the ceremonial signing were Undersecretary for Operations Monina Josefina Romualdez, Asst. Secretary Ada Colico, and Program Management Bureau (PMB) Asst. Director Edwin Morata. #
