Personnel of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) avail of the different family planning services offered during the Health Fora on Family Planning on Thursday (August 8) at the DSWD Central Office in Quezon City.

The Health Fora, organized by the Human Resource Management and Development Service – Human Resource Welfare Division (HRMDS-HRWD) Medical Clinic in collaboration with the Family Planning Organization of the Philippines (FPOP), was held in line with the celebration of Family Planning Month this August.

This collaborative endeavor intends to promote responsive reproductive health education and provide accessible and convenient on-site family planning services from the external government partners of the Department.

The services provided during the Health Fora include on-site family counseling and health education; provision of dispensable reproductive health products and non-invasive procedures such as condoms, contraceptive injection (every three months), oral contraceptive pills, progestin-only subdermal implant, and Intrauterine Device (IUD); confidential HIV testing services, screening and counseling; distribution of social and behavioral communication materials and; other services on sexual and gender-based violence.
