Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian leads the ceremonial signing of the Collective Negotiations Agreement (CNA) for calendar year 2024-2028 with the DSWD-Social Welfare Employees Association of the Philippines (SWEAP), represented by national chapter President Rolly Laganga at the agency’s Katapatan Boardroom in Quezon City on Thursday (August 8).

The CNA is an agreement that will ensure that the rights of the DSWD employees are protected and their benefits are accorded to them.

The stipulated provisions in the CNA are the result of the joint undertaking of the management and the SWEAP representatives, which are hinged on the recognition of the basic rights of workers shown through the provision of security of tenure and humane working conditions.

Witnessing the CNA signing were members of the Executive and Management Committees who were part of the Management Negotiating Panel that include Undersecretary for General Administration and Support Services Group (GASSG) Edward Justine Orden; Undersecretary for Inclusive-Sustainable Peace and Special Concerns (ISPSC) Alan Tanjusay; Undersecretary for Policy and Plans Group (PPG) Adonis Sulit; Asst. Secretary for International Affairs, and Attached and Supervised Agencies Elaine Fallarcuna; Asst. Secretary for GASSG and Concurrent Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the Legal Service Gina Wenceslao; Asst. Secretary for Statutory Programs under the Operations Group (OG) Ada Colico; Special Assistant to the Secretary (SAS) for Innovations Marcelo Nicomedes Castillo; Head Executive Assistant (HEA)Hurjae Lubag; Director of
Financial Management Service (FMS)Wayne Belizar; Director of the Standards Bureau (SB) Megan Therese Manahan, and Concurrent OIC-Assistant Service Director and Division Chief of the Budget Division Meriel Castillo.
